TAG informs, represents, and connects Whatcom area technology businesses and professionals.
We do this through work that focuses on several areas:
- Connected Community – Building communities of best practices, events, networking opportunities & professional development activities
- Friendly Policy – Advocating for policies and laws locally that strengthen and support high tech companies & their ability to do business (taxes, facilities, parking, traffic)
- Workforce and Educational Development – Ensuring we have a well-trained and skilled talent base for companies to draw on for employees.
- Technology Infrastructure – Supporting improved broadband infrastructure, facilitate access to business support services, and promote University R&D and industry partnerships.
We directly support those companies and their leaders who are engaged in everyday development, adaptation, and implementation of technology by a majority of staff. Additionally, we engage and empower those professionals who support companies in utilizing technology to optimize their business processes.
TAG is a long time direct affiliate of the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA), which provides statewide coverage for advocacy, education and networking, purchasing cooperative, and other member benefits. We strongly encourage our members to participate in both regional and statewide activities whenever possible through TAG and WTIA.
We work closely with our partners to connect our members with resources and support each other’s efforts around common goals.
